The Fittonia or "nerve plant" is a sporeading perennial plant with delecate vein-like leaf structure. They are varied in colours pink, red, green. They are humid lovers and do very well in terrariums.
Watering: Loves humidity, avoid overwatering the soil, the soil needs to be free draining and moist but never wet. If the plant is too wet it will get root rot. The plant will droop down as a sign it is too dry. The plant can tolerate the top 1-2 inches of soil drying out but will need watering on average twice a week in the warmer months.
Light: Loves a bright room but avoid direct Sunlight.
Origin: South America jungles.
