The Marka are Mande (Soninke) people with settlements in Bamana (southwestern Mali). Their elongated mask faces are covered with copper plates.
Along the Niger the Marka use the masks in ceremonies related to fishing and farming.
Special features include embellished with copper and fabric tassles.
